Arrived in Rio Grande Valley (RGV)

Two weeks and 2000 miles later we have successfully arrived in the RGV!  Drove into San Benito, TX today. We found a camp suggested by some folks we met on the road, so will be here at least a couple days while we explore options and try to decide where to spend the rest of the winter. It's warm (60's) and NO SNOW.  Walked around the camp and found travelers from Wisconsin, Iowa, & Ohio to visit with. Maybe headed to the hot tub later!

  1. Glad you made it! I'm jealous of the 60 degree weather, especially as I'm watching what is predicted to be 9" by the morning come down. Enjoy staying in one place for a while!

  3. So glad you got there, Gene & Kathy!

Report: Philadelphia got 12-15 inches of snow (depending on the specific area). Don't you miss it, Gene & Kathy?!? :-) Steve was a kind soul in the parking lot this morning and helped a guy in a small, low car (with little traction on his tires) get out of his parking spot. The guy had been trying to get out of there by gunning the accelerator without shoveling, and Steve (as a certified Minnesotan-born-and-bred) helped him out.
